Up At Last

A teacher store of your own, ready about 15 minutes after you order.

$25 a month, or $250 a year. The store, the hosting and the person who runs the server, in one bill. No cut of your sales. You order it, it builds itself, and a checklist walks you from an empty store to an open one.

Add-ons can go on the order form, or any time later from your Up At Last account. See the add-ons.

Six looks, by grade Card checkout Instant downloads A blog built in A checklist that ticks itself off No cut of your sales

What is in the $25.

Everything below is in the store on the day it is made. Nothing here is an add-on.

It is a starter, and that is the point. This store is designed to get you going: your products loaded, checkout working and your resources up for sale. The bells and whistles and the customizations can come after. The important thing is to get your products up for sale first.

A store in your look

One of six looks, picked by the grades you teach. Then your store name, your logo and two colors of your own.

Product pages with previews

A cover, preview pictures a buyer can open large, the price, and the facts teachers look for: grades, subject, type, pages and file type.

Shop by grade and subject

Filters for grade, subject, type and free, and a freebies page that lists everything you give away.

Card checkout and instant downloads

Card checkout and instant download delivery. Nothing to email, nothing to pack. A free resource needs no card.

Sales tax worked out at checkout

The store calculates and collects it. You file it with your state.

A blog built in

With your newest resources under every post, and your newest posts on your home page.

Spreadsheet import

Fill in one sheet, upload your files, and import. Importing again updates what is there.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics connected, so you can see your visitors and sales.

The hosting, looked after

Off-site backups, free SSL, updates tested before they go live. One bill, and one place to ask.

Pictures of our own test store in the K to 2 look. The products in them are samples; a new store starts with none.

Add-ons, when you want them.

None is needed to open. If you add anything, add the email list and the two tags first: the list is the audience nobody can take away from you, and the tags start learning who visits from the first day.

You can add them on the order form, or any time later from your Up At Last account. See every add-on, and which to add first.

Email list inside your store$149, then from $10 / mo

Your own email system inside your store: a newsletter sign-up form on your store, a freebie sign-up, a welcome series, abandoned cart reminders, automatic follow-ups after a purchase, and newsletters.

Meta Pixel or Pinterest tag$99 each, $149 for both

For your ads and your pins. Views, carts and purchases reported with the sale amount, set up in one Google Tag beside your Analytics so nothing is counted twice.

The get-found kit$199 setup

The email list, with a newsletter sign-up form on your store, and both tags, set up together. The email list’s monthly price still applies.

We load your products$99 per 50

Connect your mail program$50

Already on Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or Omnisend? We connect it to your store.

A design of your ownQuoted first

What happens after you order.

Order your domain and your store

Buy a new domain on the order form, bring one you already own, or start at an Up At Last address like yourname.upatlast.com and add a domain later. Then your store name, the grades you teach and your state. Pay by card.

Your store builds itself

Your store builds itself and is ready about 15 minutes after you order. A new domain or a domain transfer can take a few hours or a couple of days for the transition.

Open the email

An email titled “Your store is ready” arrives with a button to set your password. Signing in lands on a page called Start here.

Follow Start here

A checklist that ticks itself off as you go: make the store yours, connect Stripe, answer the address and tax questions, add a first resource, write About me, publish your three policy pages and make a test purchase.

Load your products

Use the spreadsheet import, with a guide. Or hand us the list and we load them for $99 per 50.

Open your store

Until you open it, visitors see an “Opening soon” page in your store’s own look. Opening is the last line on your checklist.

Your own domain, now or later. Buy one on the order form, bring one you already own, or start at yourname.upatlast.com and move to your own domain when you are ready. A guide in your Up At Last account shows how to point a domain you already own at us, and we switch your store over to it.

The starter store

$25 a month, or $250 a year. The store, the hosting and the person who runs the server, in one bill. No cut of your sales.

Six looks, picked by the grades you teach.

The order form asks which grades you teach, and your answer picks the look your store starts with: its colors and its type. A kindergarten store and a college store should not look alike.

Pictures of our own test store, one in each look. The products in them are samples; a new store starts with none.

The store is the same underneath whichever you pick. A college store sorts by level and a speech and special ed store by area, where the others sort by grade. The look is a starting point: on the Store setup screen you can switch to another look or set two colors of your own.

You are a teacher, not a web developer. The store is built that way.

  • Start here. The page you land on when you sign in: the addresses to keep, your checklist, and what is already done for you.
  • A checklist you can print. The same list on paper, for the planner or the fridge.
  • A guide in twelve sections.Inside your store, from connecting Stripe to writing a blog post to opening.
  • Ten setup guides in your Up At Last account.Stripe, your own domain, Google Analytics, getting found on Google, the Meta Pixel and the Pinterest tag among them.
  • One sign-in, in Seller view.Your sign-in opens on the day-to-day shop work: products, orders and your pages. The plugins and their updates are ours to look after.

What you do, and what we do.

Your part

  • Load your resources, or have us load them
  • Connect your own Stripe account, so you can take cards
  • Write your About me and your terms, refund and privacy pages
  • File the sales tax your store collects with your state
  • Tell your followers where to find you

Our part

  • The hosting, and the person who runs the server
  • Off-site backups and free SSL
  • Updates tested before they go live
  • Fixes when something breaks
  • Moving your store to your own domain when you are ready

A store of your own does not come with TPT’s search. Your sales come from teachers who already know you: your email list, your followers, Pinterest, your blog. We do not promise visitor or sales numbers.

Asked before ordering a store.

Do I need my own domain to start?

No. You can buy one on the order form, bring one you already own, or start at an address like yourname.upatlast.com by picking “Use a subdomain from Up At Last”. A domain can be added later, and a guide in your account shows how.

How soon can I sign in?

Your store builds itself and is ready about 15 minutes after you order. A new domain or a domain transfer can take a few hours or a couple of days for the transition. An email titled “Your store is ready” brings a button to set your password.

Can anyone see my store before it is finished?

No. A new store shows visitors an “Opening soon” page until you open it.

How do I get paid?

You connect your own Stripe account. It is a line on your checklist, with a guide. We take no cut of your sales; the card fees are 2.9% plus 30 cents a sale.

How much work is loading my products?

You fill in a spreadsheet and import it, with a guide. Or we load them for $99 per 50.

Can I change the look later?

Yes. The look, your logo and your colors are on the Store setup screen.

Can I buy add-ons later, or only when I order?

Either. Tick them on the order form, or add them any time from your Up At Last account. If the one you want is not listed there, ask us and we set it up. Every add-on and its price.

Is this the same as the Business hosting plan?

No. A hosting plan is an empty account for a site you build yourself. The starter store is its own product, also $25 a month, with the store already built.

Do I have to leave TPT?

No. On Basic you can sell on TPT and on your own store. Many sellers will do both.

Can I have my own store if I choose Exclusive?

Not for digital teaching resources. Exclusive means those are sold only on TPT, and we will not build a way around that rule. You can still have your own site, give away free resources and build your email list.

Will anyone find my store?

Only the people you send: your email list, Pinterest, your blog and your followers. It is slower than marketplace search, and it is yours.

I already have a WordPress site. Should I order this?

Tell us about it on the form below first. Moving an existing WordPress site in is free.

Rather talk it through first?

Tell us your grade and subject, roughly how many resources you have, and where they sell today.

  • A real reply inside one business day
  • A plain answer, including when a store is not worth it yet
  • No sign-up and nothing to buy to get an answer
